Meet Dr. Christian Brenes

Dr. Christian Brenes wanted to be a dentist and specialize in prosthodontics before most people even know that word exists. He graduated dental school in 2007, and spent the years that followed chasing that goal — completing a surgical and restorative implant fellowship, then a Master's in Prosthodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received the Ann and G. Randolph Babcock Fellowship Award, finishing his residency in 2014.

From there, he joined a prosthodontic practice in Texas as an associate, where his first child was born. It was a close friend who first pulled him toward academia, and once he got a taste of teaching, it stuck. For the next nine years, he taught as a clinical faculty member and Program Director at the Medical University of South Carolina, leading the world's first Master's program in Digital Dentistry — mentoring students and holding them to the same standard he holds himself to: good, honest dentistry, done right.

He's also the founder of Digital Dentistry Education, a continuing education platform used by dentists around the world. These days, all of that — advanced digital workflows, esthetic dentistry, and complex implant rehabilitations — comes home to patients right here in Greensboro at Lake Jeanette Family & Implant Dentistry.

Outside the office, Dr. Brenes trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with his two sons, Liam and Matthew, and comes home most nights outranked by Waffles, the family's very playful Pomeranian. He'll tell you good dentistry and a good roll on the mats have the same secret: patience, technique, and actually paying attention to the person in front of you.
