What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a small titanium post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. Once it bonds with your jawbone — a natural process called osseointegration, which takes 3–4 months — a custom crown is placed on top, giving you a permanent, natural-

Will I walk out with a tooth?

In most cases, a healing cap is placed after surgery while the implant bonds to your bone (3–4 months). In selected cases where conditions are ideal, a temporary tooth may be placed the same day as surgery. Your doctor will determine which option is right for you after reviewing your 3D X-ray.
